Trans Fat - The Bad Fat

Before you find a substitute for trans fat you must make sure that you have a complete understanding of trans fat. Trans fat is the results of hydrogenation. Hydrogenation happens when manufacturers put liquid oil through a process. This process causes the oil to be converted into solid fat. The manufacturer does this process to prolong the shelf life of their products. The most common foods that they want to extend the shelf life are baked goods, fast food and snacks.
